A Leader Knows How To Respect, Delegate, Relegate and Encourage Like a Navy SEAL

2016-10-22T09:06:26+00:00

I am Ron White, Two Time USA Memory Champion, memory training expert and memory keynote speaker. I would like to pass on to you some valuable information my good friend and coach, former Navy Seal T.C. Cummings, has taught me about the traits of an effective leader. Navy Seal training includes ensuring that each member of the team is a leader in his own right. Due to the dangerous nature of jobs they do, each Seal must be able to take the reins of leadership at any time in order to complete the mission, and help any surviving member of the team to get out of the situation in safety.

What Learning Style Is Best For Good Grades?

2016-10-22T09:06:26+00:00

Two-Time USA Memory Champion; memory training expert and memory keynote Ron White shares his thoughts on the value of visual learning for memory improvement. Discoveries in brain research show our brain is divided into two hemispheres. The right side is our analytical side, and usually attributed to auditory/sequential learners. The left hemisphere is attributed to our creative side, and visual/spatial learners are seen as having more processing going on with this side of the brain.

Anyone Can Be Empowered To Lead – Just ask a Navy SEAL

2016-10-22T09:06:26+00:00

I am Ron White, Two Time USA Memory Champion, memory training expert and memory keynote. I would like to share with you some of the things I learned about Leadership from my good friend and trainer, T.C. Cummings – A Former Navy Seal. This information, and other excellent points on Leadership, can be found in my memory training seminars and “Mind Like A U.S. Navy SEAL” program. First of all I would like to say – Anyone can be a leader! It does not take any special education, or physical attributes. Some are born to lead, with qualities of a leader already encrypted in their DNA. Others can learn it, and develop leadership skills with just a few key lessons to practice.

Distractions Will Derail You From Your Goal Says a Former Navy SEAL

2016-10-22T09:06:25+00:00

Two Time USA Memory Champion, memory training expert and memory keynote speaker Ron White would like to share with you some of the things I learned while training for the U.S. Memory Championship, and is now available in my memory training seminars. What we have learned from our first lesson in the “Think Like A Seal” series is to look at things with “Hard Eyes – Soft Eyes,” which means we look at the big picture (Soft Eyes) and then zone in on the details (Hard Eyes). If we are to complete our mission, or goal, we need to focus on what we want as the end result (target), taking in the big picture as well as the details.

Take A Chill Pill like a Navy SEAL

2016-10-22T09:06:25+00:00

Two-Time USA Memory Champion; memory training expert, and memory keynote speaker Ron White shares his thoughts on taking time out to distress and walk away from a problem in order to solve it. As a memory expert, I can attest to the fact that no mind, no matter how extraordinary, is capable of solving every problem immediately. We are distracted by problems that come up on a daily basis, and the stress mounts with each distraction that is ignored. It is how we deal with these distractions that make us or break us.

Process More Input Speed Reading

2016-10-22T09:06:25+00:00

Two-Time USA Memory Champion, memory training expert and memory keynote, Ron White, has taught Speed Reading in his courses and believes everyone can benefit from learning the technique. Speed-reading is not just for nerds. Anyone can learn it. People who read things without really understanding what they read waste a great deal of time. By skimming over a page or newspaper, and only stopping to read something that catches the eye, you have to admit - you miss a lot!

Keeping Your Memory Sharp

2016-10-22T09:06:25+00:00

Two-time USA Memory Champion, memory training expert, and memory keynote Ron White shares his thoughts on how to improve your memory. Wouldn’t it be great if you wake up one morning and find you have a photographic memory? You can recall where you put everything, every word your boss told you, and never forgot your spouse’s birthday again. Who wouldn’t!! Unfortunately few people can do that, so the next best thing to do is to find memory techniques that will get you as close to genius as possible.

2016-10-22T09:06:24+00:00

Two Time USA Memory Champion, memory training expert and memory keynote Ron White is happy to shares his thoughts on one of his favorite historical characters, Albert Einstein. Albert Einstein is, without a doubt, one of the most revered men in history, and he left a legacy that will endure forever in the fields of energy, gravity, light, and time. In 1921, Einstein won the Nobel Prize in Physics, "For his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the 'photoelectric effect' (photons)," which showed how the photoelectric effect was caused by absorption of "quanta" of light (now called photons).

Basic Speed Reading Exercises

2016-10-22T09:06:24+00:00

Two Time USA Memory Champion and memory training expert and memory keynote Ron White shares his thoughts on speed reading exercises. As part of my Memory Exercises and Speed Reading Program I would like to offer a couple useful exercises to get you started and improve your reading speed. As children we learned how to read a certain way, and over the years we have continued to use the same methods. In other words, even though we have substantially increased our vocabularies we have not advanced our reading methods beyond the second grade! We are all creatures of habit. When we are comfortable with something we don’t like to move outside our comfort zone unless we are forced to. With our lives moving along on the “information highway” we need to make room in our time to take it all in, and this is where Speed Reading comes in.
